Blasted Ants, in all the places I've lived I have never had an issue with them than in Austria.

How do you deal with them in the garden? What's the best an affective way without using chemicals?

The type of ants is important but I think you've no choice but to use an effective insecticide if they are somewhere inconvenient like in the house.

With some ant infestations, we simply leave them where they are. The birds seem to like them! Hedgehogs also seem to be interested in hoovering them up!
