Weather in Thermi/Thessaloniki

I am very heat intolerant due to chronic illness. I am, hopefully, completing my MA in Thessaloniki.  From what I've read the Thermi area is cooler than the more southern areas. What should I expect?

Welcome,

While Thermi has a slightly higher elevation (around 50 to 180 meters) and sits closer to open fields than the concrete-dense city center, it is still Mediterranean. Expect hot, dry summers often exceeding 32°C (nearly 90°F) and high humidity at times. Because chronic heat intolerance makes this challenging, localised planning is critical.

Thank you! I've read that some villages and towns to the north by even 15-20 minutes are cooler. Do you find this to be the case?

To be honest with you, the seasons are becoming more and more unpredictable in Europe. Europe had just had a massive heatwave and broke May records. Hitting 35°C which is not normal.
