Import & Registration of Older Vehicles to Crete from UK

amcdon41177

Hello,

I have recently returned from living in Cyprus for a few years and there I owned two land rover defenders (UK Spec; 1 x 1996 and 1 x 2007) which were ideal for such terrain and climate.

Would importing and registering such 'older vehicles' to Crete from UK, be a problem?

I had heard that there is a restriction on older vehicles, but I have found little to substantiate this, apart from vintage vehicles, so I would appreciate practical 'in country' knowledge if possible.

Thank you.

Andrew

The rules haven’t changed as far as l know. I drive my 2007 Saab which l have registered as Greek via Customs. I can only drive it for six months a year. Our second car 2012 Saab is registered in my wife’s name and the six month rule for it applies.
