Stopping German Tax Returns

falpat

Hello,

I had german grandparents who put an investment in my name. I was earning a small amount of income and so it triggered them sending me tax returns. I now no longer have the investment, but they still keep sending me tax returns. I don't speak german, but I'm struggling to google to find out how to I get them to stop sending me the tax returns?

Thanks

I'd write to them in English; I'm sure if you provide their references, name and address etc that they will be able to sort it out.

Tax returns are only due if you have paid tax (and submitted a tax declaration to claim some of them back).

If you meant tax declaration, you must only submit one of you had taxable income in Germany during the previous year. Write to them that you had none!
