I cannot tell you about the first part of your message (enrolling in further studies)

Obviously CDI is the ideal (even for locals) but unfortunately it has become very rare.

With a CDD, you can receive a SHORT time visa, and you will have to leave France at the end of such job. If you quit or get fired during said CDD, you will have to leave France.

Here, again, the employer in France will have to prove that there is no suitable worker in France and in the UE.

I would believe that until relevant work short time visa is being processed, you will have to be out of France. However, I am not sure although it would make sense to me.

Also thanks to explain how difficult it is to be allowed to work abroad (despite your higher education in France).

May it be read by all those believing things are easy, that the only thing is to arrive abroad with a suitcase and look for a job!

Yes, it is not very easy. Even in industries where they want fluent English speakers and low level jobs. Maybe it is because they are saturated by applicants, but what always seem confusing to me is how all these employers keep complaining about hiw people don't want to work and they can't find good workers to hire.

It is difficult also for the French.

A lot of employers look for "moutons à 5 pattes".  They want high level diplomas, minimum of 5 years "successful" experience, and of course as young as possible to offer them not much more than the minimum salary.

If not hired for lack of experience, how the heck can people get experience .

Since you would like to enroll in a program to have your student visa renewed, do search through Google and consorts!

I only spent a couple of minutes to read through so I do not know details. What struck me though is that it's rather expensive.

Just when searching, I saw that there seem to be a lot of such programs in Italy. Probably there are some in English. If so, maybe you study in Italy and then you look for a job in France. You will of course need a work visa to France but your (Italian) diploma will help you.

It may sound crazy but your situation now in France is rather uncomfortable and stressful. I can imagine. I had one situation like this abroad, had no other choice than lot leave country as I did not want to be illegal with all the consequences.

I am aware that what I am saying is not easy but it could be a way.

Italy has a good reputation in the field and I expect them to have English language programs for foreign students.

Instead of "galérer" with your French visa, studying for a diploma in a close country would not be a waste of time and when finished, you could be more easily offered a job in France..

It is just an idea..
