Buckingham Palace has just announced the death of The Prince Philip.

A statement shared by Buckingham Palace read: "It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

RIP Sir, thank you for your service and your time as consort.

I concur with your post.
HRH Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh will be sorely missed.
His DOE Award scheme is operating in some 130 countries and more than 6 million people have achieved the bronze/silver/gold awards & benefitted from its 4 pillars - Public service - Fitness - Skills - Expedition.
