What do you think about the end of the 15-year rule for voting as a British expat?

Ameerah Arjanee

Hello everyone, I'm a content writer for Expat Magazine. We are looking for testimonies from British expats -- or former expats who've since returned to the UK -- about the latest news concerning voting from abroad. What is your opinion about the UK government's decision to allow 3 million British expats abroad to join the electoral register for 2024, as they strike down the previous rule that banned those who'd been abroad for +15 years from voting? For context: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 … -rule-ends

Thank you so much in advance for sharing your opinion!
