Anti-social behaviour

L and M

We live in Coral Bay and over the last few nights we have had extremely loud music coming from a holiday rental villa. The music? starts at 2 o'clock in the morning and has been going on for 3 or 4 hours . We live 200 metres from this villa and our walls are shaking with the noise - it is impossible to sleep. Are there any measures that can be legally taken to put a stop to this ?

Call the police .... Immediately

Toon

There is a major crackdown right now on noise

Toon

Did you let them know of the disturbance to you... Did you ask them to calm it down ...

Are the occupiers residents or holidaymakers am assuming holidaymakers as you refer to a rental villa.. in this case its a police job

Tread carefully if it's Cypriot nationals holidaying ....

I would certainly be getting in touch with the owner and or the property rental company

I didn't think confronting them would be wise, there seemed to be at least a dozen people by the sound of the shouting and cheering . I am fairly certain where the noise came from and I am surmising that the people making the noise were not the occupants but people who had trespassed onto the property . I will call the police if this reoccurs tomorrow morning .

Ah so you suspect the property is empty ...it may be they have permission but more likely they haven't and know its empty .. I would suggest a call to the property management company and or the police as the owners and PMC may not know about it

i was told its illegal in cyprus to record people and they can sue you. I have no idea how true that is other than to say a local cypriot told me so.

He advised any noise after 11 you can call the police.

It is true it is illegal to record without permission. Some people have been threatened for their ise of ring door bell cameras...

I took the opportunity of installing one on our property .. but only after asking each owner if it was ok.. and all accepted it ... Then I installed further ring cameras covering a narrow fields on my property ...
