Passport stamp may cause a problem?

I have a visa as spouse of EU member. Usually when I go through the airport, my UK passport is not stamped. But yesterday it was stamped. I expressed my horror and the passport lady dismissed my worry as nonsense.


I am concerned that I am now being treated as a tourist on a 90 day limit as I have an entry stamp.


  I won't get an exit stamp when I leave Cyprus. So the next time I enter Cyprus I may have exceeded my tourist 90 day limit.   Or am I being paranoid here?

You are being understandably anxious, but you are legally safe. You are not bound by the standard tourist 90-day limit when traveling with your EU spouse, and a mistaken passport stamp cannot strip away your legal rights under European law.

You can challenge the irregular stamp at security at the airport ..and have it removed or annulled

Dont worry, I travel a lot and so do a couple of my friends. One who flies from Phapos seems to get his passport stamped at will depending on the Officer. Nothing happens as you have legal residence status status in Cyprus. The normal querks of the Immigration

The stamp doesnt directly indicate a 90 day thing,  it is an exit or entry stamp. If you didn't have residency then it might be a 90 day indicator but that info is on their computer system anyway,  so pretty incidental these days.
