ACRO certificate

Im hoping to apply for an MEU1 when we eventually get to Cyprus hopefully next Spring. I’ve been told that my husband, who holds a UK passport needs to have an ACRO for his MEU2 application? Can anyone confirm this ad I’ve not seen it listed on the supporting documents?

Yes, your husband will absolutely need to provide a police clearance certificate, commonly known as an ACRO Police Certificate, for his MEU2 application. Although sometimes omitted on basic checklists, the Cypriot Civil Registry and Migration Department requires all third-country national adults to submit proof of a clean criminal record as a standard public security check.

It also needs to be apostled 👍

Thank you 👍

Hi, we’re moving to Cyprus in 2027, I need an ACRO, he will need to get it apostilled too

@nicollajayne

Yes thanks it didn’t help that I couldn’t find it on any of the ‘required documentation’ list for hired country nationals 😳
