Personally I've never been keen on new builds, even back in the UK I wouldn't have bought one.  Well certainly not mass built ones. If I had the money to purchase land and my own architect, with own builder then that might be i different story.

Am the same ...but having seen how mass new builds are built id not be going down that route.

Hi,

I bought a new build apartment. There are advantages and disadvantages.  It's nice to have more choice on finishes etc, you pay in installments. However, I was in the UK and found it a bit frustrating as I was being told differing things by the agent and the developer.  It ended up being ready a couple of months late which caused a few issues going back and forward to the UK.

I heard of a horror story back in the Midlands, UK. A new terraced block of houses, and the whole lot was robbed, they just smashed through the dry wall.
