Removal companies

Next question on my long list!
We are hoping to move to BG you n September. We need a reputable removal company to drive our stuff over. Not bringing masses as going to buy big furniture there but will need something the size of a Luton I guess. Been reading a few horror stories of being let down last minute or them not turning up at all. So, any advice or recommendations would be appreciated!

We're also looking at either hiring and driving a large van ourselves or wondering about removal costs.
I've estimated a 2 day drive with a stop off in the middle going via France etc, but wondered how happy customs would be, hence a removal company that dealt with all the paperwork is an easy choice but maybe an expensive one.

Yep, we looked at hiring/buying a van but if you hire then you have to drive it all the way back again & I think you're very limited on companies that will hire for overseas travel. Also, there's the cost of international insurance, vingettes (not too sure of the spelling!) in each country, which can be as little as 5 euros or as much as 100 depending on the size of the van. And, god forbid it breaks down!
Is a bit of a logistical nightmare but many others have done it so fingers crossed we all get there in one piece hey?
