Hi Everyone -
My research is well underway, and I'm heading your way.
I'm a writer/film-maker looking for a 'writer's retreat' where I can work in tranquil, beautiful surroundings.
Any suggestions?

Many a pretty villages especially in the mountain areas.
But my favorites would be in a radius of some 50 km in and round Veliko Tarnovo

Thanks, VT's where I'm focussing.
On a Bulgarian tourism website it mentions several, so I'll keep looking.

HI,
i agree that Veliko Tarnovo area you can find what you are looking for.I haven,t been there but from what i hear from my Bulgarian friends who live i Cyprus is a fantastic area.
have a look in Google earth. you will see a lot o photos from the area. See also Elena town which is very near to Veliko Taarnovo.

Hi Sir ,
You like to buy in Bulgaria ?
The Lom region is beautiful and peacefull.
The nature is amazing , close to the Donau river.
Already a lot of wetern Europe citizen are living over here .

Well, after viewing about a million homes in hundreds of villages, I found my perfect home near VT, and bought it!

I've not reached the million yet but seen a lot of houses around VT. Where did you find yours/ I'm in Scotland and hope to get to VT in the spring if my house sells here (2 viewings today!)

Hi Ron -
I bought in a small village North West/20 min drive from VT called Lesicheri.
My builder pal's joining me late Feb to start the work - he'll work for other buyers too.
I really recommend the estate agent Yantra Homes, run by Brits.
And good luck with the viewings!

Thank you for your answer, but I would install a Yunets Rudnik is pure or why I learn about these two villages, I have no doubt that all the beautiful Bulgaria.
