Newbies looking for friends in the Silistra region

Hi All!

We are new to the forum having just returned from our very first visit to Bulgaria.  What a country!!!  We have both come back completely smitten with the country and its people....so much so that we hope to move out there some day in the not too distant future. 

Just a little info about ourselves: Ben and I are in our 20's and 30's and we both currently work full time in accounts roles in the Lancashire area.  We unfortunately speak very little Bulgarian (which made for a very interesting introduction with our Bulgarian neighbours!) but we are now keen learners.  We hope to be able to cultivate our land, as the Bulgarians do, growing our own fruit & vegetables and keeping some small livestock (namely chickens) in between Ben pursuing a career in their IT industry and Lisa teaching English.

Now for a little info about our Bulgarian home: we have a small country cottage near to the town of Glavinitsa but, with only three small rooms, we are looking to extend the house to accommodate our ever expanding family before we could live there permanently.  The other small problem is that we have not been plumbed in for mains water yet :-(  There's nothing like a cold spring water shower first thing in the morning to wake you up! Lol!

Anyway, we just wanted to say "Hi" and introduce ourselves so please say "Hi" back!  We would love to hear from anyone in the Silistra region who wouldn't mind us picking their brain for local property managers, tradesmen, etc from time to time :-)
