Can an expat on Limited A card be Independent Complémentaire ?

gafarvictoir

Hello

I did bot find any related topic on the forum.

I am working since 2022 in Belgium under a A card (highly skilled employee) and benefit from special expatriate taxation.

I am willing to teach a course in college (specialized nurses). It is only 26 hours a year and the renumeration is not that much.

It is mainly for sharing.

The school proposed to set a "vacation" ("guesd" contract. For that, I must be registered as independent complémentaire

Is is compatible with my A card. I am risking my expat taxe regiment status ?

Any one with similar experience ?

If you have a A card and you want to work as a freelancer through a complementary activity, you need to have a professional card.

I’m sharing the links below. In Brussels, this process is handled through Partena Professional, you can make an appointment directly with them, and they will explain the whole process to you along with the required documents.

Brussels: https://www.partena-professional.be/en (on top of the screen left, click on become self-employed, and follow the steps. When you have an appointment do not forget to mention that it`s a complementary activity, because they will put this information on your TVA and company number, and also professional card.

Flanders: https://www.vlaanderen.be/en/working-en … repreneurs

In Flanders, you don`t need to apply with an organisation like Partena, you are applying directly from the Flanders Overheid website (I shared the link)

Thank you very much for the information and guidance

What I am actually wondering is if this will have any impact on taxt profil. I would not want you l'oiseau the expat taxation

Yes, it affects your tax profile. If you are an expat, after submitting your tax declaration at the end of the year, you receive an amount of around €2,500 each year for five years, I believe. However, once you start a complementary activity, this amount is no longer paid to you.
