Please post where you want to settle. It is much easier to deal with a lawyer near to where you plan to live.

If you are looking at Boquete, my recommendation is Lourdes Miranda at https://mirandacontreras.com/. Lourdes not only dis immigration work for me, she also helped me get out of the claws of a dishonest other lawyer who was trying to cheat me, and she helped me with some good real estate deals. I have known her and used her services for 17 years now.

Haven't settled on a final destination yet but leaning towards somewhere in the Coronado/Punta Chame area. Will be visiting David next February to assess that area as well

Thanks for the referral Volker Plasta. Wife and I may be looking at Boquete soon and legal expertise was one of the items on our list to research.

Our attorney is Javier Perez, in David. In addition to residency, he's also assisted us with creating a Private Interest Foundation to hold our home and with the closing on our house.

I'm a USA citizen. I am thinking about moving from costa rica to panama in 2027. I have been given a quote by a law firm in panama that I'm feeling are trying to overcharge me. I am thinking about moving to panama city or somewhere near there and would like to know if anyone has any good reputable law firms they could recommend with competitive prices? Thank you.

Kraemer. and Kraemer. their prices are listed on their website and they have been known to be reputable. They would be my first choice. I’m sure there are cheaper ones but I would definitely pay more for reliability. You don’t want to run into roadblocks down the road. Panama is known to nickel and dime expats so get someone who knows the territory.
