Is it better to buy in the USA and drive down or buy in honduras? I would like to have a 4x4 in honduras and leave it down there.

Most vehicles are overpriced in Honduras. If you have a vehicle that you really love… have it shipped if you can afford the shipping, import duty and some aggravation. If you decide on purchasing in Honduras, take your time and have the vehicle inspected. There are a lot of crashed/rebuilt and flood cars in Central America.

Do you have to have honduras residency to ship a car? Can I ship a car to a Honduras citizen(my significant other).

I'm not sure about driving down a vehicle from Canada. Has anyone shipped from Canada?

Can anyone give me a ballpark range of what a 4x4 would be in lempira or US dollars. With the Canadian dollar, may make more sense to buy and try shipping. Also does anyone have any idea what companies ship?
