I’m on a fixed income of 1000 dollars per month..looking for a studio apartment or 1 bedroom apartment that would fit my income in puerto plata Dominic republic..thank you very much for your time

Welcome to the forums. While it's possible to live on this it won't be comfortable. And to live here legally long term this income won't qualify for residency.

we will be looking for a month to month in Santo Domingo starting mid Jan so we can search for out condo in the capital. if any one has a one bedroom to rent while we search would be great.
we are looking at various places but since we are friends here maybe we can help each other by renting short term
