Paying for car next week

Good morning all,

We are flying over to close on our house next week and intended to purchase a car while there. We are running into an issue trying to figure out how to pay for it.

We have the cash to pay, but don't want to travel with $20K+ cash. Dealers don't seem to want to take a credit card and a wire won't show for 3-4 days and can't take the car.

Any ideas? Thanks!!

Don't understand if you are not travelling to next week - why not wire now? You havent seen the car? Don't trust the dealer?

We have not seen it or even picked a dealer. We are going to spend two days in Santo Domingo car shopping.

Definitely don't travel with it. And don't travel with more than $10k without declaring it, or you could subject yourself to civil forfeiture issues, depending on which jurisdictions you travel through.
