poor fireman

We had a fire behind our house we were renting about 9 years ago.  We called the FD and when they showed up they wanted to know if we had hose they could use.  They used our garden hose hooked up to their truck to fight the fire.  Needless to say it burned itself out.  We all should have  pissed on it to do a better job.

Seriously  there is a lack of equipment here that  is a disaster waiting to happen.  An entire barrio would burn to the ground before anything would be done.   

I was asked last week for assistance for a fire department with no equipment!

sorry, I am just tired of smart ass comments on this forum, I think I am in the majority when I say we need  better equipment. I talk to many Dominicans and never heard a single one say we do not need it, none of my neighbors say we don't need it.. I live here to.. they can spend money on stupid crap with no problem..At least we donate and try to make it better not criticize. the next may be yours.

We do need equipment,  no doubt there.  Lives will depend on it one day soon.

good used equipment I can get its just getting them to Dom Rep with the shipping cost. I bought 65 hoses used once for 150.00 at auction. they were good but fire dept was upgrading.

There must be  a way to get it all shipped here!!!   Are you connected to any registered charities? They often have  great deals with shippers.

I used to use a Haitian shipper. Chatalean Cargo. they used to do that. I have to see if they still do.I would rather get it shipped straight to DR.  I know some places ship Basebol equipment hahahaha for free if for kids

Let me ask my guy who handles our shipments for us!  IF you could get the items to Iowa we maybe could put in our next container!

sure, I do not have any fire items at present but I can get them. I know many quartermasters in the Houston area
