Cost to buy a vehicle

Anybody out there have an idea of what the additional cost is to buy a used vehicle besides the purchase price?

My understanding and I maybe wrong is that the first tag and registration fee is now $2000 but that may only be related to vehicles that are tagged for the very first time. There still is a transfer fee and tax based on the value of the vehicle that needs to be paid.

And don't forget insurance!!!! As a foreigner you need to purchase "Segurgo FULL"  not anything else. Any accident at all, they will try to tag you with all blame. 

Remember here most sellers are more then happy to report the sale price creatively for tax purposes!!!!   :D

yes the insurance can be a bit expensive.  For us about $800 per vehicle

Yes that would be annual. Insurance is priced based on year of vehicle and value of vehicle.

Per year and we do decrease yearly (value goes down and some kind of credit for no claims).  Still much cheaper than in the US
