Every tourist area will be very busy.

Thanks for starting the thread.

There were an unusually large amount of accidents yesterday.  Bad weather plus high traffic volume equals stupid driving and accidents.

@planner

What area were the accidents?

I was told Las Terranas seems to have less people this year and more of a police presence to deter people.

No idea where the accidents happened.

Police in las Terrenas shut down a massive street party last night.

@DRVisitor

Normally all over the island.

Here in LT the police shut down all amplified music on the beaches and bars.  That didn't stop the loud people and motorcyles😂  I went out once to grab some food and was almost terrified by the swarm of pasolas racing up and down the street.  I'm not surprise if there were any number of accidents, I just hope no one got seriously hurt.  Can't wait for Monday!😄

We've been hunkered down in the hills above LT—away from the crowds and noise! We have a few rental properties near us, but the renters haven't been too bad. They seem to be families, so we're hearing the sounds of kids playing more than music blasting!

We'll probably wait until Tuesday to venture down the hill and into town!

I’m on the north/west coast ( puerto plata ) and traffic in the last couple of years has gotten worse taking away the slow relaxed pace , I have noticed since Christmas there’s been a lot more police presence on the streets because of accidents and traffic congestion  , getting worse here is the people’s patience , the new construction just keeps going and bringing more people
