Sorry - just seeing your message. We came in as pensioners. That process is pretty simple and straight forward. We used an attorney, Lishali Baez, and she really made it easy. I can't speak to any other type of residency or trying to do it on your own. Search the forum for residency for lots of good threads.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Linda May. I currently live in London, Ontario, Canada.

I have done some serious searching (although I wouldn't call it extensive), and Las Terrenas is the place that comes up again and again as the place where I would be most comfortable and happy living in as I near retirement age. I am well travelled in the Caribbean. Mostly living off the grid as opposed to staying in resort hotels.

I am very excited to be a part of this group. I am looking forward to gaining knowledge and insight into everything I need to know about Las Terrenas. The good, and it looks like there is so much good, and the challenging as well.

Thank you in advance for this opportunity to get to know my future home!
