Reliable Housekeeping Agency Recommendations in Santiago/Moca, DR

A_Tale_of_2_Cities

Hello,

My elderly parents live in the Dominican Republic for half the year, and I’m looking for a reputable agency through which we can hire a housekeeper. The role would primarily involve cleaning the house and doing laundry. Since they speak Spanish, communication won’t be a concern.

I’d love to hear your experiences with this. I’m particularly interested in agencies known for their reliability and ethical hiring practices. Additionally, I’m curious about the following:

    •    How often does your housekeeper provide services?

    •    How do you handle transportation?

    •    How long does the hiring and screening process typically take from start to finish?

Money isn’t an issue—my priority is trust and ensuring everything is done compliantly.

Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

There really are not many agencies doing this.  Generally I have always gotten house staff by asking people I know, including neighbors.

mine only cleans once a week and I don't trust anyone to do my laundry here! I have outlawed cloro from the laundry area!

The hiring and screening process is fast, test them out.  They do a good job, keep them. They don't then try someone else.  I don't permit my cleaner to throw water everywhere!  It's common and I don't like it.  If they won't clean the way I want it done they are replaced.

Transportation - I pay their costs.
