Custom Broker in SD for a container

Hi everyone! First of all, I want to thank you for this forum that has been very useful for me!

I am a Canadian from Montreal and my husband and I are moving to La Romana at the beginning of August. We will be shipping a 20 feet container to Santo Domingo and I am having trouble finding a custom broker. I contacted the ones recommended in other threads of this forum (in Spanish) but no one is answering. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thank you!

@planner Thank you! I wrote to her in March and didn't get a reply. I just tried again. Thank you for your help!

May I ask the benefits of using a custom broker for shipping a containe  to DR?

@ondami My shipping company brings the container to the port of SD, but the paperwork in DR has to be filled by an authorized custom broker.

A customs broker will do the paperwork plus smooth out the process!

Thank you! While I am a moderator,.I also love to share what I know about this country!

We used Radca Cargo. I hear they aren't the cheapest, but compared to the experiences of folks I know who used other brokers, we saved a boatload on port charges because our container was processed so quickly! Radca also completed the paperwork for our exoneration with Aduanas and for registering our car.
