Rainwater harvesting systems

GuestPoster291

Hi,

A quick brief about me:
I am new to this forum, I bought land in CR (Guanacaste Province). I am in the midst of designing my home (architectural background), I have established contact with a great builder via referral. I have several friends already living there.
Regardless of having contacts there, I like to do my own research.

I was researching rainwater harvesting systems and ironically stumbled on this article (dated).

https://news.co.cr/rainwater-harvesting … ste/33808/

Whether it is still relevant or not, I was hoping to get some input regarding this subject.
Has anyone installed such a system, and/or could anyone direct me as to where one would procure themselves one?

Thank you.

Sorry can't help with specific harvesting rainwater issues, but huge containers are available to be used to collect the rain. I expect that you already understand that you must use a CR architect when designing your home, applying for permits etc. Also many areas in Guanacaste consistently have problems with a water supply.
This is a large province and much will determine how successful it will be depends on exact location.
