Hi all,

Newbie on the Costa Rica forum? Don't know how to start?

This thread is for you ;)

We invite you to introduce yourself on this topic, to share with us your expat story if you are already living in the country,
or to tell us more on your expat projects in Costa Rica if you are planning to move there.

It will enable us to help you better but above all to wish you a warm welcome.

Welcome on board!

Hello,

I’m Antonio. I was living in Playa Ocotal for about 2 years, then had to go back to the states for health and other reasons. But now my wife, Seidy (a tica I met in CR) and I are returning! We are excited to escape the cold and the lack of sun here in Eugene, OR, as well as the immigration uncertainty as we await her green card.

I’ve been a broadcaster, and recording/ electroacoustic entrepreneur, also am an artist, and musician. Seidy is a CR Pharmacist and hope to open one in the area soon.

We are looking to making new friends. God is good. Pura Vida!

@CreatiaLife..Friends do not let friends open a business in Costa Rica..If you have to compromise yourselves going down this road you have killed the whole purpose of coming back here..Not to mention the 'bureaucracy de jour' to get this going and having to work harder than ever...

Hello, my name is Nathan. I have been living in Costa Rica for six years. My wife and I moved here from the Czech Republic with three cats and a large dog. We bought a few hectares of land in the inland part of Costa Rica, near Turrialba, and built a house ourselves inspired by Asian philosophy. We have experienced both good and difficult times here, but we would not have managed without our lawyer, whom we are very grateful to have had throughout this time.
