Opening bank account with HSBC

HSBC bank operate in Australia and I'm wanting to open an account in Vietnam. Has anyone had experience in opening an account with this bank, ie open an account in Australia and being able to open a connected account in Vietnam.  Other question is can an Australian open an account with any of the banks in Sài Gòn? Im getting the feeling,  No.
