Business Directory (Yellow Pages)

Does anyone know why there is a lack of professional business directory like yellow pages?

How many times do you look for a service provider only to find the website they have is Facebook with no up to date address and no contact number?

I accept that FB offers free web space to advertise and attract business but lost of the time addresses don't match the company.

Even those with websites are not great, trying to redeem lotusmiles with Vietnam airlines is like pulling teeth. Have to update personal details before you can redeem... Tried that a lot of times, eventually had to email customer services 6 times before they got it right.

All up to date, go on line and get promoted with please update your phone number.  Check account and the number is correct, try many times more and eventually get sent the OTP to validate transaction, error..m OTP failed.

Had to go their office to carry out redemption. Told in their office our website is not working.. yes I know.

HRchannels - head hunting agency is worse, can click apply or update and walk to the local supermarket before it updates the page.

K-market D2... No website just Facebook,, probably because everyone complain about slow service. Tonight wait in line whole one person serves and the other two sit on their laptops and phones surfing the net... Guy in front pays with card... Declined.. tried again ... Declined, staff say out internet is not working... And yet two people behind the counter are clearly on the net.


How easy would it be to start a proper busines directory? Surely the benefits of free listing for their company potentially attracting customers would be a good thing ?
