Advice needed - good time for moving to Vietnam

My logical guess:  it's NOT gonna be this year for people who do not have any compelling reasons to enter VN. 

What are the compelling reasons? 

- Are you a Vietnamese national?

- Are you the sole caretaker of a Vietnamese national who is your immediate family member?

- Are you working with Vietnamese authorities?

- Are you an investor whose contribution is important to keep the economy from being collapsed?

- Are you in the diplomatic corps?

- Are you part of NGO?

If you cannot provide at least one "yes" answer to the questions above, then your wish means nothing to Vietnam, or to any country, in this climate.

There is a reason the borders between most countries are closed and international flights are suspended.  There is also a reason that no one, not even the head of the most liberal country who doesn't care a whit for his citizens, can hazard a guess on the approximate date when things will be changed.

You DO know what the reason is.  Badgering for an answer is futile.

When and if a vaccine is found and when and if it has been distributed to enough people in the whole world, i think it's safe to speculate that countries will start allowing international travel. Until then stay at home, wash your hands and if you have to go out practice social distancing and wear a mask. If you lose your sense of taste and smell or develop a fever then get tested.

Remember this is not the flu, the symptoms are not exactly the same so check a website to find out when you should see a doctor or get tested.

August 14 th at 6 pm is my guess, anyone else?

Why the urgency?  And, why Vietnam of all places when there is virtually no chance for you to get a job and earn a living?
