Access to SSA website

Hey fellow expatters,

Has anyone tried to access the SSA website recently? I've been trying to update my address for the past couple of days, but I keep on getting notifications that the website is down. I've tried many different points of entry such as MY SOCIAL SECURITY, the Main SSA page, sign in pages, etc, etc, etc. All to no effect. I even tried emailing FBU Manila (Rose Evangelista) and it got bounced back as undeliverable.

Anybody got any ideas on alternative pathways?

You might have better luck if you try using a VPN. I found my access to many URLs and services to be blocked or difficult to access while in Vietnam.

Hey Jim, thanks for the suggestion.

Considering this is the first time it's happened in almost 6 years in VN and the FBU Manila email and phone number don't work me thinks it may be more than just a VPN issue.

Has there been any issues with the overseas internet cables lately?

Well this is totally weird. I have access to the SSA website on my phone, but not on my laptop. I guess there's a first time for everything.

My Norton 360 does scans on a regular basis.

I think there must be some proxy issue with the last Microsoft update, which happened a couple days ago. It was fine before the last update.
