It's pretty simple...

Vietnam won the AFF cup against Malaysia, and people were celebrating.  It was the first cup they've won in a decade or so thanks to the new Korean coach and some unusual tactical formations.

The celebrations are referred to as "the storm".  It's innocent celebration, and calling these folks "kooks" is disrespectful and uninformed. 

I am brand new to the Vietnam and find it inexplicable that most here didn't even know about an event that completely consumed the country last weekend!

Yeah, so go back to supplementing your beer gut...

I think the moderators need to explain why they let dumb threads like this persist while deleting those that area actually informative?

Yeah, well your "rule" here consists of ruining otherwise informative threads, to the point that they then get deleted.  Your "vocal minority" are just self-important internet trolls with nothing to say or do, so they just post vapid crap on the forum all day.

The "silent majority" are people who just log in a few times and give up on this forum because bad players like you.

Oh look it's Spice-Rack Andy who INTENTIONALLY gets threads deleted when he doesn't like the topic.

It seems to me there 4 or 5 know-it-all trolls here, including yourself, who intentionally and regularly post off-topic psycho babble to ruin it for everyone else.  Classic troll behavior.  If moderators actually cared about substantive content here, they would disable your troll accounts so that people who actually want to share information could actually participate.  That is honestly what needs to happen here.
