Highland VNese vs Hoi AN VNese = polar opposite

Most VNese really, even in less touristy places r similar but not so bad.

Here inn the highlands; I find the people really honest and decent. No over-charging, short-changing; refusing to give change etc. Not everyone but 99% the people here r decent like back home in Europe.

The difference between Hoi AN (worst), SGN and Hanoi vs the highlands is like night and day.

Totally different/ better people. hard to beleive they r both supposed to b VNese.

I've only been to Hoi An once. Was your experience in the tourist part, or non-tourist part, of the city? Were you there long?

That was exactly my experience : I have biked all over Vietnam, and in most parts of Vietnam people by and large are honest, even in tourist destinations like Phu Quoc, but Hoi An absolutely takes the cake in terms of  rapicity :Nowhere else in Vietnam will you get overcharged and cheated as much as here.
