The DL went pretty smoothly but I had a local doing all the interactions. About 15 mins at the translation office (very nice staff), to translate my CA dL, which was returned. 110,000d. Then to Ba Ria DMV. About an hour there with the paperwork, photo and waiting till your number is called. Exactly the same as CA DMV. 135,000d. License is ready in a week. They expect you to return but if you pay them postage they will mail it. DL arrived in ten days with M endorsement. The only con is the license is only as good as the length of your visa. So, renewal every year. For me it’s worth it. Oh, whoever did the final typing out of my license was probably near their coffee break because they listed my nationality as Vietnamese. 🙀
