GuestPoster678

Is anyone having problems getting outside of Vietnam on the internet currently. No matter what browser I use it says it can not reach the intended server. But When I go inside Vietnam I have no problem. Speed test is quite slow also.

But you can get Expat.com?

What's to say that Expat.com doesn't have a local server?  Alternatively, he could be gaining access via the land route from China.

It's all the fault of Chinese saboteurs.

Apparently.

Allegedly.

Usually.

Presumably.

I pay for the most expensive broadband package and to be honest the internet in Afghanistan is better than the internet where I live (D9, very close to D2).

This happens frequently.
I'm using VNPT now, and I'm very dissatisfied. But no choice in my building. (Vinhomes Central Park). They have a kind of exclusive contract...

It was better before with Viettel and FPT.
Of course it depends the package too. Either basic or more pro/SMB type of package with guaranteed bandwidth. (Like 50M for 600k VND per month or so offers a 1M guaranteed international bandwidth)

But then, it is still pretty slow ;(

And it's probably bullshit, if you measured the speed of it.

THIGV

If you can access this it should tell you how fast (or slow  ) you are:

http://beta.speedtest.net/

Note that it measures in Mbps.  I don't have the conversion but MBps is different.

Well for a bit it seemed they had the sea cable plugged back into the socket. I could reach the USA for awhile. But the thing is probably like the darn electrical sockets here. You have to wiggle it to get it just right. What quality you can get for millions of bucks. I wish I could count the number of times that thing has been broken. But I am back to nothing again now.
