VISA (HELP)

natasha95

Hello, I am travelling to Vietnam. Luckily, Filipinos can travel to vietnam for 21 days without visa. I just wanna ask if ever I want to stay there longer, how can I apply for a 3-month visa? Do I need to go to the Vietnam immigration to process it? How much is it? Thank you!!

Hi there,
How did you get that name.  Surely they could have found a shorter version. 😆

You could apply online for the Visa on arrival that will allow you 3 months.
The online approval letter costs around $25 and you pay another $25 at the airport on arrival.

You carry the approval letter with you & present it at the " landing visa window" at the airport on arrival. They then stamp your passport for 3 months.    There are several companies that offer that service.  Just google Vietnamvisavn.com  .

Also,, As of 1/2/17 Vietnam has decided to issue visa on line through its Govt website .  Visa.mofa.gov.vn.    I've looked at the website and since it's only a new system there could be a few teething problems.    Try both and see what you think.

On the other hand,,,if you just arrive on the free visa for 21 days and try to extend it, it may cost you a LOT more, if they do it at all.   Depends on which travel agent you use also.  Some will tell you it can't be extended, some say it can.  A friend here recently paid $270 for a 3 month extension.

It's your call.. Either pay about $50 for 3 months,,,or risk higher fees or refusal.

Good luck.
