What do this vietnamese quote means in English? Just a short one :)

- Eating is much but accommodating is little: Ăn nhiều, ở mấy!

- Eating as in the North; clothing as in the South: ăn Bắc, mặc Nam

- You eat slowly, that is good for stomach; you plough deeply, that is good for fields: Ăn kỹ no lâu, cày sâu tốt lúa

- When having a party, go first; when walking in the water, go after: ăn cỗ đi trước, lội nước theo sau
( = He that comes first to the hill may sit where he will = the early bird catches the worm)

- One worm may damage the whole cooking soup: Con sâu bỏ rầu nồi canh

(= to be at the loose end)

- Eeating nothing but saying yes: Ăn không nói có

Hi guys,

I am learning English too. I have 2 final Toeic tests in August and September, and 4 tests to practice.
But I dont have much time to learn , because I must teach everyday. This the way I learnt English (self-study).
If you dont understand any proverb (or any word), dont mind, pleas leave a comment, I will try to explain for you by English. My Vietnamese is very good , and my English is good enough to explain something .

I joined here to study English, learn how to write what I want, so when I have free time, I read any topic to learn from all foreigners.

(Liệu: means "tùy", "mắm" means food in a family meal)
( = cut your coat according to your cloth according to your means)

(Tham: tham lam = greedy, "mâm" = tray: in a Vietnamese family meal has this. We put all dished on it)

4. The husband eats hamburger; the wife eats spring roll: Ông ăn chả, bà ăn nem (ngoại tình: adultery)

No, man! With me, Viet men are OK. It's easy for me to understand them, he he.

But I never call for anyone to learn English ! I know some foreigners (teacher-friend), they are always willing to help me to improve my (bad) English speaking , but I dont want they must suffer my bad English speaking. Kakakaka .
