Be careful with doing charity

@Dejavu.dot: I think you are Vietnamese, I dont have time to read all posts here. But I read this post about Bode pagoda. I have a friend, she is journalist. Here a her stt: "Lại nói về chùa Bồ Đề. Càng đi sâu điều tra về vụ việc càng rút ra một điều: nghe cái gì cũng phải nghe hai tai.

I know a Vietnamese woman, she lives in America now, she always do charity in the North. She helped many poor children. You can contact her if you want to do charity:

Many donors was replied that it is better to give them money when they contact this pagoda for doing charity.

One girl intended to give cakes to nannies to deliver for those 100 orphans but those children cried and told her not to do that because the nannies won't give them while those products will be sold to the market if they are delivered to pagoda's storage....I cried when know many things about this place.

I don't mean all charities are bad.. Instead of that, I feel grateful for those kind heart but pagodas have changed a lot. Now it is a business and monk become a job.

Yes, it is not easy for anyone to give money to others. Not only you.

I thought I would do charity with some poor people, but I never have a chance to do this, because I dont find anyone to believe when I have money. When I found the woman (above), I dont have money anymore . I am going to become homeless , hic hic, and I have many things to do now. I think you are Vietnamese, you can read many things in her FB, and you will make a decision...

BTW, there are many way to do charity. Now I only do charity for my students, I spend all my free time for them, because I think all my efforts will make some good chances for them in the near future. And I talked to them, I help them as much as possible and I hope them will help others.

About Bo De pagoda, I thought you are Vietnamse, so I paste some Vietnamse that dont translate. Sorry dear  . My friend said that, everything in the paper is not true. She is trying to find the truth to prove what she think about this pagoda.

About Bo De pagoda, I don't care about it much. I just want to tell people to be careful when I do charity cos I have sometimes seen some charity events here. It is not something like you feel proud when you give money to someone to do charity but it turns out  you are cheated.

Yeah, I give one thing, but I take many thing from my students. Sometimes, I only post a status on my FB, like that "My dears, I need something...blah blah blah" , my students will help me immediatelly (about 5-10 seconds , kakaka). They send PM or comment, they try all their best to help. I've just taught in this university about 1.5 year.

Oh, sorry dear, I made you confuse . I knew already about charity. Because in your post (above), you said, when you do charity, you feel proud... That why I told you about my happiness when I help my students.

When doing charity, we think so much. And we can't do anything. My colleagues and I contribute some money to do charity, and until now, 1 year, money still in the pocket, because we consider where we can do, whether they are really poor...
