prescription medication

raymond kamma

Hi,  Just wondering about getting my medication in Thailand.  Can I use the same scripts as I have in Aus.  Do I need to visit  Thai doc and get reassessed .  Can I get the same medication.  Prefer not to take a suitcase full of drugs into Thailand.  Be great if someone could enlighten me on the procedure.  Thanks Ray

Yeah, you need to visit a hospital or clinic to be able to get prescription meds. They have the same stuff or the equivalent to every type of medicin. The amount of drugs you can bring into Thailand is very limited and you might have a big problem if you get caught with a shitload of drugs.

@Leeds forever! OK  Thanks for that.  I will get a list from my Doc and visit clinic in Thailand. Cheers

You might find some of the stuff (or the equivalent) you need in a Thai pharmacy (there are loads of them). Several prescription meds in for example Europe are non-prescription meds in Thailand.
