I need a temporary address

Teton

Can someone give me advise on getting a temporary address in Bangkok. I have a non-O visa and need to open a bank account. Without an address I can’t do it. Problem is I plan to live outside of Bangkok, probably Surat Thani, but I haven’t found a place yet. Thanks for any help.

There is no way to get a “temporary address”. You will have to sign a lease for the Bangkok area. Basically you will have to pay. Now if you are going to live outside of Bangkok my guess is you will have to pay for 2 places. There’s no way to get a “temporary address” without paying a lease. Sorry.

Either you have a friend that lives here and ask him to use his address room number or If actually you stay at a hotel room you can give that hotel room address Temporary cause many foreigners rent a hotel room monthly as home cause completely served.

And can say to bank staff that you looking for different accomodation in time.

Then next time you can change it and adjust to new address.

Anyway is very very rare that bank sends letters. They use more emails.

Agree with member Maxi Mari.

Back in 2021 the hotel I was staying at was very familiar with the paperwork needed, and with that and my newly opened bank account I was granted a retirement visa.

Thanks guys. I just decided to forgo the non-O issues and get the Elite visa. A little pricier, but much more accommodating.
