In Vietnam I have only been exposed to Buddhist and Catholic. However Catholic in Vietnam are not the same as america. But learning is a good way to avoid mistakes.

I missed your thread cos I was lil out of net use previous days.
Main idea of  foreigners visit Sri Lanka is for starting a business or just for site-seeing! 
Not majority of women start affairs with foreigners. If they do that is only as secret affairs. Even prostitution is not legalized in Sri Lanka. But it is happening illegally. Some poor woman with or without husbands go for money.
Spa/Massage places can be found. Casino too.
Typical mistakes expat make are mostly using those places.
Specially they must know that most decent ladies are not prepared to have dating with an unknown foreigner otherwise the ladies who smell money of the white skin. But if the lady knows the expat before he comes to the country, this type of affairs can not be considered as simple.
All the ladies who do house keeping for you are not prepared for an affair. But some!
Not a lot of bar girls here as there are not much bars here.
Two kinds of girls may pay interest towards you.
(1) a woman needs to help you physically for money
(2) a genuine girl (specially a divorced/widower) who needs to start an affair ends up with a legal marriage
Ladies may not come as your date other than above two reasons. But you can go to a dinner out with a wife but her husband too may join you. .

My friend Ancientpathos  just wanted to to know few ideas of dating & courtship only. He doesn't want a bride in Sri Lanka.

Totally different, maybe I need to redefine what I need in my life. I am flying to the states to see my son for 4 weeks. When I return I think it is time to visit Columbo, maybe run an add in the paper for a wife. How many can I have there? Three seems to be a lucky number.

if you put a paper ad.. it is not difficult to find many brides in Sri Lanka but you can marry only one!!!
