Application submitted - FIN number?

Hi guys,

My employer applied for my EP 5 days ago. I've been trying to track my application online but it says it can't be found - I've read through various posts on here and understand it can take up to 1 week to appear.

Today I requested my FIN number from the company, but they said to me the FIN number will only be received once my application is approved, but I was of the understanding that it should be received immediately after submission.

Is it common to have to wait up to 1 week to receive the FIN number for an application?

Would rather ask on here than second guess my employer and look silly..

As we already wrote elsewhere, it can take up to a week for the application to be entered into MoM's system. My understanding is that your employer also receives the application number then, which becomes your FIN later (on approval).
