Question about Salary

hyronv2

I have a question . My employer initally applied for ep for 7000 SGD but my ep got ejected. They said that they will apply for spass but going to get 5800 SGD since thei will pay for levy but when my spass is approved, it is showing in my IPA that it is 7000 SGD. May I know if can they cut and only pay 5800 SGD?

thank you

Your salary is determined by the employment contract, which you signed (or verbally agreed on - but that is not recommendable!) with the employer. So check your contract!

The employer must also submit the contract (or give true details of the verbal arrangement) as part of the work pass application. So you should clarify what was submitted there.

It is an offense (which you should report to MoM) to declare untrue details in the application!

"it is showing in my IPA that it is 7000 SGD" if they pay you less than this amount, you can report it to MOM. Levy should never be deducted from employee's salary.
