Singapore PR Renewal with frequent business trips

Milleplateaux

Hi All,

I am Singapore PR will apply for REP this year. I live and work here for a Singapore registered company. I own my HDB. But I need to travel for work a lot to a neighboring country and stay most of the week and sometimes for more than a week there this year. Would this effect my REP?

I don't think so.

You have a good reason for it and it is connected to your job in Singapore, so why should it be a problem?

@beppi Thank you for your reply.

I ask because with this assignment, my home is here, work is here but I will technically be abroad more than I am in SG (although I will not be abroad more than 15-20 days). This project is more than 6 months but can drag to 9.

I think they will ask I have resided in SG for more than 6 months in total for a calendar year or not. I would answer yes but is it the case?

In the past 4 years I was %90 percent in SG (my job requires APAC travelling).

I don't think they would ask, but even if: You have a good explanation for it!

Most probably they will not ask anything. They will simply look into your job profile and CPF account.
