S pass application but less work experience

umeboshi

Hello, I recently got an offer from a company in Singapore and willing to reside to Singapore if everything goes well with the visa application. However, I have one concern that I might get rejected due to less work experience..

Offer postion: Recruitment Consultant

Industry: Recruitment Industry

about me:

I'm from Japan (jpnese), and currently I'm working as a biz dev junior from a complete different industry, around 9 months (got in as fresh grad) but no experience as a recruitment consultant.

The offered salary is above $3,200 so I am sure no problem for the salary but I am worried about getting rejected due to less experience. (by the way I have never been to singapore and currently staying in japan)

What are my chances getting Spass approved?

The company submitted the application 9th Dec. 22.

Thank you very much!

@umeboshi An S-Pass does not formally require applicable work experience, BUT:

Work passes are only given to foreigners if the job cannot be filled by a local.

Thus my question: How does the employer justify hiring you?

umeboshi

@beppi Hello and thank you for the prompt reply!

The requirements for the position are Native Japanese speaker and fluent English speaker with Corporate Sales background in Japanese firms and fortunately I meet all these requirements. I am assuming that they might justify me with these reasons but not that sure as I am not the HR…

but glad to hear that work experience is not a big issue!

Btw the company has over 1,000 employees in SGP and has few branch offices in East Asia as well so in terms of quota I hope it is ok..

@umeboshi Native Japanese speaker is the keyword here: That is nearly impossible to find locally. I thus think your chances are good (assuming there are no quota issues)!

@beppi Thank you so much! Hoping to get approved :)
