lifting of BLACKLIST....does it lift after 5years or never...?
You are lucky they didn't throw you in prison. Choose your battles wisely.
Would you swear at your mother? Father? The law in your own country? Always remember "Filipino first" here and a somewhat proud nation won't take sh*t from blow ins that think they are special coming from another country on an aeroplane with luggage and attitude.
Civility costs nothing. A smile and friendly demeanour wins the day,,,,,,,,,, In saying all that? I have never been accosted by immi nor customs in the 9 years back and forward,,,, some 20 plus times over the years.
If you want to get blacklisted be an A hole, that will work.
OMO.
Cheers, Steve.
It's common knowledge that the BI agents have been and are Shakedown artists. Not to split hairs but no one swore at them. I stated what is in fact a fact. Witness 6 months to process 2 letters. There are countless stories like mine online. It's obvious that the system is broken. But complacency and Corruption pervades all systems and Society there in the Philippines.
Yes, I should have perhaps held my tongue and forked over the money with no questions asked.
Just a thought. I recently renewed my old EU passport for a new UK one
Yes my date of birth and personal details naturally are the same but the passport number is different. My surname is quite common. How does the Philippine Immigration or any other country's immigration IT system cross reference for a match?

Cheryl
@PCLUK I have had the same problem. Is it anyone who knows how to get off the ban? Thanks, Kenneth
I am blacklisted because I was arguing with immigration officer. I had overstayed two day without knowing it. The embassy made a mistake.
@Suphil1986 i did pm you

OMO but most expats/visitors know to never argue with any government official as you have learnt, turns into heartache and heaps of cash. Should have simply apologized, paid any fines and no black ban.
Good luck.
Cheers, Steve.

Funny you mention Him!
just yesterday as i noticed i had spent more time engaging and replying with all of you fine gentleman than usual, i had wondered why i haven't seen him sharing his usual contentious little quips.

Kenneth four things you don't do.
(1) Pull Superman's Cape
(2) Spit into the wind
(3) Argue with an immigration officer
(4) Ask what happen to whats-his-name.

Haha mate.. "seen him sharing his contentious little quips".. perhaps more akin to carpet-bombing his latest novels?
@PalawOne
hahaha. right on point. that too, i'm afraid !
but seriously though. i wonder what happened to him...
Regardless we all have opinions left or right, I have my thoughts and slapped many times but the member in question most times offers interesting and alternative options and a pat on the back for his insights and thoughts even if we disagree,. His opinion, as we all have.
Cheers. Steve.
