How to get a checking account in the Philippines?

Go to your nearest BDO. Inquire how to apply for a checking account. Mention that you already have a savings account with BDO. If they deny your application, try another BDO branch.

Update us on how it went.

Note that at least 2000 pesos will be charged to your account if you bounce a check / issue a check with insufficient funds.
