Blacksheep-In my opinion PureGold-SM and Robinsons.

Coach 53,

Suit yourself. I asked you to separate your quotes (including your own replies) so I can address them individually because you obviously do not understand what I wrote; that’s why you’re quoting and replying to them.  All I can tell you is I am not going to address your quoted words and replies when you lump them together like that.  I will only rely on the individual ones, just like your latest quoted words and reply.

I told you, you can do as I do. Its easy. Just copy   :)  and paste and erase the parts f the quoite you dont anwer in that step... But you obviouly dont want to do/learn solution othher tell, typical Filipinos say some...    :)
So you expect me to write SEVERAL POSTS as anwer to each of your posts or what?     :)

I wonder if anyone else find it  obvious I havent understood what you wrote  e g  when you ciontradicted yourself  :)

Globe is also doing a ethernet/TV package now, although I'm getting slow speeds and disconnects with it. SkyCable was good for both but having problems laying their fiberoptic lines right now.

Aeta Tribe

Coach 53,

Ah, now you're getting into stereotyping and classifying me as to what a "Typical Filipino" is because I have asked you to simply separate everything you have quoted me on into individual posts, so I can reply to them separately and clearly for the benefit of other readers. And you soliciting for a consensus on who else did not understand what I wrote, and your refusal to break down my quoted words into separate posts for ease of clarification, only reveals the obvious without you saying it: you are the one, the only one, who has a hard time comprehending what I wrote--not the other way around--and you do not want others to notice it. Again, break down my quoted words into separate posts if you want me to reply to them.

You guys need to debate your differences of opinion in private. This dialogue is neither interesting nor helpful to others in this forum, and is WAY off topic.

Common behavours among (malay) Filipinos ARE related to the topic   :)

And there you CONFIRMED it AGAIN not wanting to learn      even a SIMPLE to do thing as split a quotee to answer parts, which I do often when I answer, so why dont you ...?
AND you added confirming of an other  = Bad/no logic thinking...   :D
(I blame the church for serious damaged logic thinking of many Filipinos. But not at all. )

You are correct and I personally should have known better and suggested to Aeta Tribe with post 42 to start a new topic but when some one sprouts derogatory opinions against Filipinos and their political situation on a PH. expat site? (read the forum rules) There from my point of view requires retaliation and defence of the country I am a guest in.
You and F A M are correct and I'm sure we will watch this new members further contributions with interest.

Cheers, Steve.

Off topic members, I'm sorry so slap me but you know me, I can't help myself in situations like this.

Don't bleat stereotyping against another member who simply asked you to try something new to you. Rings a bell eh? What Coach 53 stated makes perfect sense and most here do exactly what he said. ........... Stereotyping? You as an apparent Filipino national have done exactly that with your diatribe firstly against the Filipino people (your people apparently) then their culture (your hereditary roots apparently) and finally being judge jury and executioner against a political and economic system that you have had little to do with for decades.

This is all nit picking and childish and the afore mentioned members are correct, You hijacked the OP's post and members reacted. Time to start a new thread Aeta Tribe. I'm sure there will be takers.

OMO.

Cheers, Steve.

Aeta Tribe

Out of respect for the members who don't see any benefits from my heated discussions with bigpearl and Coach 53, and request that we move these discussions on another thread, I am going stop engaging these two on this thread and start a new one.  I will announce the new thread on this thread once I start one.  In the meantime, I'm going on vacation for the next few days. Coach 53 and bigpearl, you're just going to hold off on repairing your bruised egos until you hear from me again next week. Just because you've been on the expat.com forum longer than I have, it doesn't make you an expert and everything you say about the Philippines right.  It is time to breakaway from your long-standing delusions and hear what other people have to say. You might just learn a thing or two that you thought you knew but didn't.

bigpearl

W*nker.

Cheers, Steve.

FortuneFavorsTheBold

A new thread would be great. I won't be visiting it but others might be interested.

bigpearl

Ditto FFTB.

Cheers, Steve.

Agreed. It's a typical of Filipino culture amongst the demographic that have been born into wealth. Bad enough in advanced western economies  but with so much poverty in a country like the Philippines it's the epitomy of bad taste & bling illustrating the callow self serving ignorance of this sector of society.

I see the same here in the US too, however, it is just easier to criticize the 3rd world country's people. It is akin kicking someone who is already injured.
Sorry. This isn't very productive.

Really? Why is it not 'productive' . If you are a U.S citizen you will be aware that to your country's credit you have one of the highest productivity levels in the world. That's because you have a 'can do' culture and because you are a democracy in the true sense of the word. Most Americans even if born into poverty can pull themselves up by their bootstraps and attain a higher standard of living. Not so in the Philippines with a few exceptions. The elite families with their moreno Spanish ancestry legacies see to that by fiat. As a result they end up with one of the least productive sclerotic economies in Asia and the attendant poverty that ensues. It's always been a 'I'm alright Jack culture' and will be for decades to come because of the self serving elite.

I agree with everything but it is impossible to pull yourself up by your bootstraps, you would be floating in air. Einstein's Theory of Gravitation proves that point.

I probably shouldn't have posted the previous paragraph, but for years I've heard pull yourself up by your bootstraps. I'll be more absurd, how many Filipino's own boots, let alone with straps.

But at least my post is not 100 lines without a break and full of moronic  Emoji's :D

FortuneFavorsTheBold

🤣😂🤣😂  Yes, those emojis are quite annoying.

What I find frustrating at times is the stock control in SM and Puregold, we have learnt over the last couple of years to stock up on the items before they are forgotten/overlooked/out of stock sir. All in all though I will concur with other members that hygiene and customer service is important. I will add that to my dismay I see many times in some stores,,,,,, no company names mentioned that there could be 4 to 6 workers/staff sitting in a corner playing on their phones in full view of the customers, on their break? Only from my perspective it's not a good look.

Let's see what happens here when the new Robinsons Mall opens in a few months. To the OP, honestly boots on the ground are the winners and I'm sure once entrenched here you will explore all the options and find the good the bad and the ugly as most here have.

We don't get local tv channels here so hooked up to Cignal sat for under a thousand pesos per month and gives plenty of channels, for us on occasion if there is a storm to the north the signal will drop out but not often, then there is Netflix or youtube when that happens or nothings on,,,,,,,, all in all happy with the media choices available.

Should I drop an emoji now?

As for meeting and greeting? OMO but the expats I have met over the last 8 or 9 years? I stay away, even where we live has a very high expat presence and we have learnt to keep our distance but your miles may be different.

To the OP keep us posted.

OMO.

Cheers, Steve.

It's REALLY bad in the USA with all the rich showing off their STUFF! Sportspeople, most actors and

actresses, and most of those with big bucks like showing off their wealth no matter what country they

live in. It's a worldwide thing as far as I can see. There are a few millionaires who live modestly and I do

respect them but the arrogant rich who show off is to get others to admire them they get no

admiration or respect from me. How many cars does a person really need? Maybe 1 or two with the

second being for the wife to go to work. Look at Jay Leno. Has a garage full of cars and I guess he

loves them soo much he goes out at night and sleeps in them.-  a different car every night. Playboy?

joke lang! I don't know. My dad when he was alive used to tell me something interesting when I

visited him and my mom on the weekends. My dad was reading a newspaper once and he read to

me where there was a rich woman who requested to be buried in her red Ferrari when she died. I

guess she thought she could take that with her. Wheres she gonna drive that? In the clouds or the

fire pits?HMMMM My guess is the latter! "The love of money is the root of all evil"

FortuneFavorsTheBold

I remember the lady with the Ferrari. Only fools die rich. Anyway, we are far off topic for the OP's original question.

Now after I formatted your post, doesn't it look better teacher?

Your constant harangue of rich people or people that may have more than you, sounds like a jealous pauper. People who've work hard and planned their life smartly are entitled to enjoy the fruits of their labors.

Looking at Jay Leno, can you do what he has done?  So he has a garage full cars,  You know what? nobody cares. If you had Leno's money, you could burn yours. Then with your new found riches you could shop at Good Will or Salivation Army or maybe buy a third hand Yugo with 300,000 miles on it.

Your great assumption "The love of money is the root of all evil". (Is that original?) I think the root of evil is hitting the sauce and then making a post berating anyone who has more than you.

Try this assumption "The difference between Men and Boys is the size of their toys".

FortuneFavorsTheBold

Jay Leno isn't the only one with 400 vehicles stored in a Santa Monica airport hanger. Big difference between Elon Musk being wealthy and no talent rap "singers"  Whose example would you rather have your children follow?

manwonder

I don't think the Philippines has any such problem...as the truly rich wont really want to come/stay here in the first place if they had a choice (other than the current rich local business people) which certainly they still have.

This lady had the dough to own a Ferrari so she might have had a good life. But how many of us are going to end up in an Urn sitting on a mantel or worse yet in shoe box in a dusty attic.

I hope my body (whole or cremated) will end up in nice nature at "my" land, under a new "Wiking" stone to confuse future archeologis
while my soul will come back as ghost to check if somene mess uo for the business  :)

Can someone top the lady with the Ferrari?
i.e. getting buried in a multicab instead?
