Car Values

FindlayMacD

In the UK it's considered unwise to buy a new unless you are super rich because a new car will lose 30% of it's list price value in the first two years. Not so here in the Philippines, when a Filipino buys a brand new car and decides to buy another new car, probably after another two years have passed, they seem to think it's still worth what they paid for it two year previously.

Agree, here they think it's still new, I looked at plenty of second hand cars both here and Australia over the years, Australia cut and dry we have the blue book and the red book values while here they have overinflated values for heaps of Un serviced 2 or 3 year old and still asking very high prices, sometimes no paperwork for the ORC. I purchased new and will keep it for 5 or 6 years and cut my losses and buy another new vehicle and have the 3 to 5 years warranty but hey that's another story here. Beauty of buying new is 3 years rego and no need for waiting inline for an emissions test every year, can take a day or two, take your number and we will see you tomorrow,,,,, no thanks.

OMO.
