Working conditions for Pakistani doctors

Very unprofessional Amedico.. no words..

Ya its very unprofessional attitude....but one thing is Fact that some Pakistani doctors acting as AGENTS...and ask for Processing Fees. that is very unprofessional attitude aswel and it is very sad to take money from your own Pakistani nationals

Assalamoalikum.I have been offered a job of dermatologist in maldives.There is one doctor working in Holy family hospital islamabad.He gave advertisement in newspaper about jobs in maldives.He said salary will be 3500$,govt hospital,Accomdation free,processing fees 2500$.Is this ok.Please guide about working in maldives and how much saving

Rizwan toor about is high here are some agency they only charge 1000-1200 USD no advance payment.

Rizwan toor no need to give any peny to any agency or person...give your documents direclty to the MOH or contact the hospital in which there are vacancies...most of them induct directly....Free of COST

Dr Haris you please complete your residency because here in Maldives there no such Hospital that U ll continue it. You can work only as Medical Officer. So better to stay there.

Okay then Send your Document to some who you know here But now a days it take about 2-3 months in processes. I don't know exact reason but may be due election which will be on 7 September 2013.

Haris....This is very insane decision....dont leave training over here for Maldives MO job...even i havnt done FCPS 1 and I have many reservations to have MO job at Maldives....pay is not 1500 dollars...it will be round about 1200$ and more over if u are posted to a small island then life will be very difficult for u...I suggest DONT GO...pachtaogay....complete ur training

Dear Amedico. I am perfectly in sync with ur views. I have experienced the same in maldives. I am a specialist, they offered a contract (directly), i agreed, reached my work place, started working. when i was receiving my first salary, they gave me less money than what i was supposed to get. The hospital informed that the contract was not valid anymore.
The contract I received was from the Medical Director, and later he says he was not aware of the original contract.
I approached my embassy, who instead of helping me, told me to go back.

yes it's active and i have tried many times but people there in MOH Maldives do never reply or respond on phone.

amedico thank you for your inputs. Your inputs and after talking to Indian docs in Maldives and also about confirming the terms and conditions I cancelled my ticket and decided not to go to Maldives. Yes I can understand what you mean when you say its not the right place for doctors from home here to work there.

Dear all doctors my humble request to you all is try other country for job because you will regret alot after you will come to maldives for job because speaking truly these peoples are unaware about the world and unaware how to treat a doctor their behaviour towards doctor is just like they are facing any labour first of all they writing in offer letter full furnished accomidation and that is totally fake in most of islands they have no good house for doctors and it is too much hot here so one has to survive in hot without air conditioner and unlike other country if we rent a house house owner will never disturb and break privacy but here is not like that house owner can any time enter your house both in your presence and in absence and if anything needs to repair they will not do or have to request many days and let me tell you this is not my personal experience only the same is happening to each and every doctor in maldives and that's why most of doctors are leaving within few months of their arrival and if you are in need of anything local manager will not attend your phone well few managers are good but most are not good and according to me local manager should be much cooperative because we are always depend on him we are new in their country and do not know language and most of managers are not well enough to help doctor to arrange things in new place and for them one medical officer should be able to work as physician surgeon gynecologist ophthalmologist dentist they want him alone work as all because in island he will be only doctor in island so they want him to work as all speciality and most important thing no matter how much efficient is doctor but these peoples will always talk rudely with doctor and in some islands doctors were beaten and disturbed in many ways at mid night knocking windows etc there are so many things to say how much bad place is for doctors to work in maldives well everyone is looking for money but one should choose good place to earn money although less because in maldives doctors are suffering each and every minute and life is zero here no food is available only have to depend on lentils eggs fish potato onion and some time we are getting carrot and cabbage and frozen chicken which is almost 1 year old even do not have barber to shave or cut hairs for that have to go other big island and when ask permission to go other island they will say doctor you cannot go because patients are here so have to spend time without haircut these are moments when one is thinking why we choose maldives for work but no body has told us these things and we simple search maldives on internet and found beautiful resorts and choose maldives for job but reality of island life is something different

No they dont accept without registration in country of origin. You will need PMDC registration, house job certificate and good standing certificate from PMDC as well..

Addu is one of the best place in Maldives

Addu is better to live but disadvantage is distatance from Malé for any sort of official work, bank, shopping you have to come to malé and emergency trip to malé costs more tha 4000 ruffiya...
